In 2008-09: Went 3-1 competing in the East Stroudsburg Open.

 

In 2007-08: Made first varsity dual appearance against Central Michigan at Journeymen/Brute Duals… finished year with 0-2 record… Went 3-2 at Northeast Senior Freestyle tournament in April… dropped both of his matches at FILA Junior Nationals.

 

In 2006-07: Deferred eligibility… posted 5-5 record with two falls wrestling unattached at West Virginia Open, East Stroudsburg Open and Southern Scuffle.

 

In secondary school: Won five straight bouts in consolations of state championships, eventually placing fourth at 135…two-time state qualifier… three-time league champion… two-time Greco-Roman place winner at junior nationals.

 

Personal: Son of Mike and Shannon Spangler… brother Tyler (17)…enjoys playing guitar.
