In 2017-18: Started three duals at 149… posted first dual win in Lehigh singlet in season-opener at Bucknell… went 1-2 at both Journeymen Collegiate Classic and Southern Scuffle.
In 2016-17: Moved up to 149 where he posted an 11-6 record with six bonus wins… took second place at Warriors Winter Open and fourth at Wolfpack Open… went 2-1 in his pool at Journeymen Collegiate Classic… also competed at Wilkes Open.
In 2015-16: Made Lehigh dual debut with loss against Dom Forys of Pitt at 133… wrestled 13 additional bouts going 6-7 at 141… competed in Nittany Lion Open, the Southern Scuffle, Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic and Edinboro Open… posted two victories at both the Southern Scuffle and Shorty Hitchock Classic.
In 2014-15: Deferred eligibility… went 17-10 competing in six open tournaments at 133… won title at Wilkes Open in late December… finished fifth at Shorty Hitchcock Classic… had three pins and six bonus point wins.
Before Lehigh: started at 125 for Clarion, going 11-9 before suffering a season-ending injury… finished fifth at PSAC Championships… Dean’s List student.
In secondary school: three-time county and district champion… three-time regional place winner… finished fourth at states in 2013… career record of 136-21… Governor Livingston’s career wins leader.
Personal: Son of Scott and Susan Mele… siblings Kristin (25) and Nicholas (19).
