Why Lehigh?: “I felt it was the best fit for me to succeed academically and in wrestling. I fell in love with the environment and the people.”
In 2025-26: Wrestled 16 bouts at 184… went 10-6 with five bonus wins… placed in all five events he competed in… won title at Bloomsburg Open in January… runner-up at Lock Haven Open II… opened season with third place finish at Princeton Open.
In 2024-25: Posted 2-8 record competing at four tournaments… saw action at Princeton Open, Journeymen Collegiate Classic and F&M Open… closed season with third place finish at F&M Invitational.
In 2023-24: Went 1-1 at 174 at Princeton Open, winning his first bout before forfeiting out due to injury… missed remainder of season due to injury.
In high school: Four-time New Jersey state place winner (8-5-2-3)… amassed 144-15 record with 99 falls… New Jersey runner-up in 2022… two-time South Jersey Times Wrestler of the Year… three-time district and regional champion… two-time Sam Cali champion… third place at Fargo in the U16 division… also all-state performer in football.
Personal: Son of Steve and Kristi Schoppe… older sister Jenna and younger brother Tyler.
