In 2023-24: Deferred eligibility… went 9-3 competing unattached… named Lehigh’s Deferred Eligibility Wrestler of the Year at annual Lewis Dinner… won title at 165 at Mat Town Open I in late November… posted third place finishes at Princeton Open and Mat Town Open II… competed at 174 at Mat Town II… competed at Midlands Championships, going 2-2 at 165.
In 2022-23: Started for Rider at 165, posting 16-17 record… went 4-10 in dual meet competition… went 1-2 at the MAC Tournament… finished second at Princeton Open and fourth at Keystone Classic.
In high school: First-ever two-time state champion in Howell High School history… went 40-1 record as a senior, with 19 falls and 8 tech falls… two-time region champion… finished third at Super 32 and Powerade tournaments.
Personal: Son of Hunter and Jamie Mays… younger sisters Taylor and Victoria… sister Taylor plays soccer at Rider.
