Why Lehigh? “Academics, tradition and the awesome facilities”
In 2017-18: Served as team captain for second straight year… competed at 165 but was limited to 10 bouts due to injury… opened season going 1-2 in his pool at Journeymen Collegiate Classic… placed eighth at the Southern Scuffle for the third consecutive season… recipient of Gerald G. Leeman award at year-end Lewis Wrestling Dinner.
In 2016-17: Team captain… started season at 165 before dropping back to 157 in February… posted 10-6 overall record… placed at Southern Scuffle for second straight season, taking eighth at 165… won Warriors Winter Open in first action at 157… had key upset of Rutgers’ John Van Brill in Lehigh’s win over the Scarlet Knights in NWCA National Duals Championship Series.
In 2015-16: Began season at 149 before moving to 157 with the occasional fill-in at 165… posted 12-9 overall record… started five second semester duals winning by technical fall against Franklin & Marshall and Bloomsburg… finished second at Nittany Lion Open in first action up at 157… placed eighth at the Southern Scuffle, one of three Lehigh placewinners at 157 at the tournament.
In 2014-15: Earned starting spot at 149… came on in second half of season to place sixth at EIWA Championships… overcame 1-7 start to go 12-9 from January 1 until the end of the season… went 3-3 at EIWA Tournament including impressive win over NCAA qualifier Cody Ruggirello of Hofstra… went 7-11 in dual meets… four of his final eight victories were by major decision.
In 2013-14: Deferred eligibility… posted 16-14 record at 141 competing in open tournaments… placed seventh at the Franklin & Marshall Open in January… went 1-2 at the Midlands Championships in late December.
In high school: Five-time league champion and state qualifier… reached the podium on three occasions, with second, fourth and fifth place finishes… won four sectional titles… posted 180-29 career record, including a 41-4 mark in his senior season… honor roll student.
Personal: Son of Donna and Frank… brothers Brett (29) and Derrick (26).
