In 2016-17: Starting heavyweight and NCAA qualifier… competed at NCAAs for first time, finishing one win shy of All-America honors… defeated No. 6 and No. 14 seeds at NCAAs as an unseeded wrestler… qualified for NCAAs with third place finish at EIWA championships… had three wins by major decision including season debut versus Bucknell’s Tyler Greene… went 3-0 at Journeymen Collegiate Classic and 3-2 at Southern Scuffle… wrestled in all but one of Lehigh’s duals with 3-0 mark.
 
In 2015-16: Provided depth at heavyweight behind All-American Max Wessell… missed first month of season while recovering from injury suffered in 2015 EIWA Tournament… defeated Princeton’s Ray O’Donnell in return to competition in early December… finished sixth the following day at Nittany Lion Open… went 3-2 at Southern Scuffle losing by injury default to teammate Wessell in placement round… once healthy, capped season with title at Edinboro Open… earned degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
 
In 2014-15: Assumed starting role at heavyweight… qualified for NCAA Championships but was unable to compete due to injury suffered in EIWA third place match… posted 21-8 overall record including 16-4 mark in dual meets… clinched upset win over Ohio State at National Duals with 4-2 overtime win over Nick Tavanello… only bonus win of season was win by fall in first round of EIWA Tournament… went 2-2 at Southern Scuffle… named to NWCA All-Academic Team.
 
In 2013-14: Saw significant time at heavyweight posting 17 victories… made varsity dual debut against Bloomsburg in November… went 3-0 at Northeast Duals… won Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic and Edinboro Open tournaments during spring semester… completed dual season with 2-0 showing in duals at Brown and Harvard… picked up only bonus win of the season with a pin at Brown.
 
In 2012-13: Deferred eligibility… went 18-6 in open tournament competition … suffered season-ending injury at the Midlands Championships… placed in the first four open tournaments he entered… opened season with fourth place finish at Knight Point Clarion Open… placed third at both Binghamton Bearcat Open and East Stroudsburg Open… finished fifth at Nittany Lion Open.
 
In secondary school: Vollaro placed third in the state in Massachusetts as a freshman before moving to Florida ... won a state title as a sophomore for Oviedo ... Vollaro won the NHSCA senior nationals in folkstyle and 2011 Flonationals … earned a victory for the USA team at the prestigious Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic … place third in both freestyle and Greco-Roman at the USAW Junior Nationals.
 
Personal: Son of Richard and Mary… brothers Tim and Ken.
