In 2005-06: Emerged as starter at 184 and qualified for first NCAA tournament… placed fourth at EIWAs earning wild card bid to nationals… went 2-2 in first NCAA appearance, with both wins coming by fall… nearly upset top seed Josh Glenn of American in EIWA quarterfinals, losing 5-4 in the second round of tiebreakers… defeated Joe Rovelli of Hofstra in February dual, avenging earlier loss in finals of East Stroudsburg Open… placed seventh at Southern Scuffle.
In 2004-05: Split time as starter at 184 pounds, going 4-6 in dual meets… Moved up to 197 to beat Pittsburgh’s Lou Thomas 6-1 in January dual… 14-10 overall record… placed second at West Virginia Open, losing to eventual NCAA Champion/Outstanding Wrestler Greg Jones… placed third at East Stroudsburg Open…went 1-2 at Midlands in late December.
In 2003-04: Saw action in three dual meets backing up Travis Frick at 184, going 2-1…competed in four tournaments, going 2-2 at Midlands, 3-1 at East Stroudsburg, 2-1 at West Virginia, and 3-0 at Trenton State…
In 2002-03: deferred eligibility
In secondary school: state champion at 171 and was runner-up in 2001 at 160.
