In 2003-04: Deferred eligibility … was 1-2 at Junior World Trials, competing at 185 lbs.
In secondary school: Selected as the InterMat top junior in all of New York … placed fifth at 160 at the New York state tournament in 2002 and third in New York state tournament at 160, losing only one bout, in the quarterfinals 6-5 to the state runner-up.
Personal: Son of Tom and Karen Murrer … three siblings Chris 20, Peter, 16, and Jackie, 12 … when not wrestling, enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, and playing hockey
