In 2011-12: Went 16-8 in first varsity season… was part of a three-man rotation at 149 early in the season… placed in three open tournaments including win at Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic in January… took second at East Stroudsburg Open and third at Knight Point Clarion Open… pinned Cameron Moran of Clarion in 2:18 in varsity dual meet debut… went 3-2 at Midlands Championships.
 
In 2010-11: Deferred eligibility… won Lehigh’s Deferred Eligibility Wrestler of the Year award… placed in seven open tournaments… won titles at Mat Town Invitational, Cleveland State Open and Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic… finished second at East Stroudsburg Open, Edinboro Open and National Collegiate Open… finished season with 35-11 record in open competition.
 
In secondary school: Three-time Ohio place winner including state runner-up finish as a senior… also place third and fifth at states… two-time Walsh Ironman place winner… placed fifth at junior nationals… competed in Cadet and Junior Nationals in 2008 and 2009… honor roll student.
 
Personal: Son of Susan and Steve Sasseville… brother Beau (7) and sister Maddie (6)… enjoys hiking.
