WHY LEHIGH? “The academics, the volleyball team, and the campus”
2014 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Saw action in 25 games and 77 sets, putting together a strong sophomore season…ranked third on the team with 173 kills and 169 digs…tallied double-digit kills in five matches and two double-doubles…recorded a career-best 16 kills against Siena (8/29) and at Colgate (10/4)…helped Lehigh beat rival Lafayette with a 14 kill, 14 dig performance (9/17)…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2013 (FRESHMAN SEASON)
Played in nine games and 20 sets with action limited due to injury…finished the season with 33 kills, 25 digs, four service aces and three total blocks…knocked down 13 kills in the season-opening match against UNH…hit .417 with six kills against Fairleigh Dickinson…recorded a season-best six digs against UNH and Fairleigh Dickinson…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
BEFORE LEHIGH
A four year starter at Hempfield High School, Morgan Lowe comes to Lehigh as an accomplished outside hitter from Mountville, Pa. Lowe holds the all-time record at Hempfield with 1,457 kills and has also garnered multiple MVP awards while winning two state titles. Lowe captained her 2012 PIAA AAA team to the state title, earning an All-District accolade for the third time in her career while also earning her third PIAA PVCA All-State honors. She was named to the PIAA State AAA Championship All-Tournament team twice and was a two-time Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year nomination while at Hempfield. She was also a finalist for the National Player of the Year for her class twice and a Prep Volleyball All-American. Her 2012 Girls Junior National Championships 17U team was crowned champions of the gold division (Synergy). Lowe has not only starred on the court, but also in the classroom as she has been named to the Superior Honor Roll each semester since 2006. She was inducted into the Society of Academic Excellence in Foreign Language and nominated to attend the National Young Leaders state conference in 2009. Lowe also received the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence in 2009 and earned Academic Excellence awards in all subjects from 2010 through 2012.
