    Eighth season

It took just four short seasons for Manny Oudin to transform the Lehigh women’s soccer program into a perennial force within the Patriot League. In fact, in just his fourth season, Oudin guided the Mountain Hawks to their first ever Patriot League regular season title, and top seed in the league tournament. His 2005 Lehigh team established school records with 14 victories and 13 shutouts, while allowing just five goals – the fewest in all of Division I women’s soccer. For his efforts, Oudin earned Patriot League Coach of the Year honors for the third straight season.

With a career record of 60-58-10, Oudin already has the most wins of any coach in Lehigh women’s soccer history. His teams set new school records for wins in each season from 2003-2005, and have qualified for three of the last five Patriot League tournaments, advancing to the championship game in 2004.

Set to enter his eighth season as the head coach of Lehigh’s women’s soccer team, Oudin looks to keep his program near the top of the league and take the next step forward in the quest for a Patriot League tournament championship and accompanying NCAA tournament berth.  Based upon the accomplishments in his first six seasons, there is little reason to doubt this program is headed in the right direction.

Oudin brings over 10 years of professional playing experience, three years of professional coaching experience, and five years of collegiate coaching experience to Lehigh.  Oudin was most recently a member of the Reading Rage, of the United Soccer League’s Third Division, Oudin has played for the Lehigh Valley Steam, Hershey Wildcats, Philadelphia Kixx, Harrisburg Heat, Cleveland Crunch and Delaware Wizards.  Oudin also served as a player-coach, serving as an assistant coach for the Lehigh Valley Steam and the Reading Rage.

Oudin came to Lehigh from Moravian Academy where he served as head boys and girl’s soccer coach, director of financial aid, and teacher of health and physical education for six years.

“I coach because I love to teach,” Oudin says.  “The field is my classroom.  I get an opportunity to teach a game that I am passionate about, and am able to have an influence on young people.  I get to see them grow as students, players, and most importantly, young adults.”

A 1991 graduate of East Stroudsburg University, Oudin earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. Oudin served as an assistant coach for the Warriors’ men’s program from 1989-92 and was an assistant with the women’s program from 1992-93.

“I am looking for players who are passionate, dedicated, and committed about soccer and about the Lehigh University Women's Soccer Program.   Student-athletes come to Lehigh University to get a great education and to have a great experience being a Division I athlete.”

An active member of the Lehigh Valley community for the past 11 years, Oudin resides in Whitehall, Pa., with his wife Beth, and their daughters Gabrielle (7) and Chloe (5).
