Leah Kulp begins her first season on the Lehigh coaching staff in 2015 as a volunteer assistant coach. A former three-year starter for the Mountain Hawks and 2010 Patriot League Champion, Kulp started 54 games from 2009-11.
After graduating from Lehigh in the spring of 2012, Kulp continued her education at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh where she earned her Master’s of Science in Web Design and Development. Kulp enrolled at Drexel University this fall and is currently working towards her PhD in Information Studies, Human Computer Interaction/Health Informatics.
Kulp has extensive experience, both within and outside of soccer. At Lehigh, she was a Multimedia and Broadcast Intern for Lehighsports.com then went on to a Digital Media Assistant position at Campbell University after graduation. While at Lehigh, she was a Soccer Without Borders Volunteer Coach in Granada, Nicaragua in January of 2010. Kulp led and organized daily lessons and activities, raising funds for the organization and increasing awareness of the needs in Granada. She worked at T.E.A.M. Camp, teaching soccer and life skills to underprivileged girls.
Additional experiences include working as a Front End-Development Jr. Associate for Rosetta in the summer of 2014. Kulp is currently a Software Engineer/Web Developer for OpenArc LLC.
Kulp finished her playing career with three goals and one assist. All but one of those goals came in her senior season. As a junior, she she started all 20 games in the Mountain Hawks’ Patriot League Championship season. Kulp was a key defender for a squad that allowed just 21 goals in 20 games, including none in the Patriot League Tournament as Lehigh blanked Bucknell and Army by 1-0 finals for the program’s first-ever league title and NCAA Tournament berth.
