Genna Pepe's Lehigh Player Bio

Genna Pepe begins her first season as graduate assistant coach for the women’s soccer program. A 2012 graduate of Lehigh, Pepe enjoyed a standout four-year career in the Brown and White, earning All-Patriot League laurels as a junior and senior. That included First Team laurels her final season, while also garnering Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic recognition.

Pepe finished her career with 15 points via five goals and five assists, playing in 65 games (including 63 starts) as a dynamic force at both ends of the field. She earned team Athlete of the Year honors in 2012 while also garnering the women’s soccer award from the LVAIAW (Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women).

The Staten Island, N.Y. native helped lead the Mountain Hawks to their first-ever Patriot League Championship and NCAA Tournament berth in 2010 where they hung tough against national power Virginia. She posted a career-high seven points that season (one goal, five assists), this as a key contributor of a strong defense.

Pepe has experience on the coaching front, working with FC Lehigh Valley club this past spring where she assisted Lehigh men’s soccer coach Dean Koski with the co-ed U7 and U8 year olds. This fall, she’s working as assistant for the U16 Girls team under Mountain Hawk alum Lauren Calabrese.

Pepe has extensive experience at the Lehigh Women’s Soccer Summer Camps for high school and individual players (ages 14-17), working the summers of 2008, 2009 and 2010 as a counselor. She also worked the camp this past summer as one of the head trainers. Pepe also has experience with the Lehigh men’s soccer high school residential camp as the coordinator. At the Lehigh Soccer Child Day Camps, she coached the youngest campers (4-5 year olds) and the oldest girls session (10-13 year olds).
