Former standout Erin Iwaskiewicz enters her third season as an assistant coach for her alma mater. One of the finest goalkeepers in school and Patriot League women’s soccer history, Iwaskiewicz was a four year starter in goal for the Brown and White and graduated as Lehigh’s career leader in wins, saves and goals-against average.

“This is a great opportunity for Erin and a great opportunity for our program,” said head coach Manny Oudin. “Erin had great success here as a player. By returning to her alma mater she will be able to relate to our current student-athletes, but she also enjoyed some different experiences at other institutions, which will be helpful to both her and the program.”

A three-time All-Patriot League selection, Iwaskiewicz, was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year in 2003 and was named the league’s first ever Goalkeeper of the Year in 2004. In her senior season Iwaskiewicz posted a 1.23 goals-against average and seven shutouts while co-captaining the Mountain Hawks to a then-record 12 wins and a berth in the Patriot League championship game.

In the classroom, Iwaskiewicz was a four year member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, and earned Academic All-District honors as a senior. Iwaskiewicz also netted the Athletics Department’s highest honor when she was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year at the 2005 Honors Convocation.

A Nashua, N.H. native, Iwaskiewicz graduated from Lehigh in 2005 with a degree in Art. Iwaskiewicz spent the 2005 season as a graduate assistant at Indiana State before moving on to Bucknell for the last two seasons. She assisted with all aspects of the Bison program while working closely with the goalkeepers. Iwaskiewicz earned her Masters in Education with a teaching certification in Art in 2008. She recently received her Advanced National Diploma from the NSCAA and is on the regional staff for Region 1 ODP.
