WHY LEHIGH? “When I began to do research for possible college choices, I developed a list of requisites. I knew that I wanted to find a college with a competitive soccer team where I could study engineering. Eliminating a myriad of other colleges and universities, I was able to focus on ones close to home which would help me achieve my goal. Not only does Lehigh have a strong reputation for engineering, but also a notable women’s soccer team. Size and location were also important on my list. Lehigh’s class sizes are not too large that if you slept in the back of the class, no one would notice, and not too small that just one opinion on the subject is heard. On top of that, Lehigh is located in the beautiful valley of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Some of the buildings on campus present Gothic architecture with ivy-covered stone. When I visited Lehigh and the campus, the style impressed me very much, and I could see myself enjoying the next few years of my life here.”
ON COACH LAMBINUS: “My first impression of Coach Lambinus was certainly a positive one. He seems to know the game extremely well and to be excited about our upcoming season. As a coach, his job is to prepare us for what is ahead of us in order for us to because successful. With the summer workout he’s supplied, I’m sure we will be fit for our season. Coach Lambinus’ encouraging and optimistic attitude has made me eager to begin my first fall season with Lehigh’s Mountain Hawks.”
ON PLAYING SOCCER AT LEHIGH: “I have not undergone much of the soccer experience at Lehigh yet, but I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of it. Since visiting Lehigh a few times, the team seems tremendously enjoyable and the players are all very nice and welcoming!”
AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Finished freshman season with a 1-1-0 record, a 1.00 GAA and .750 save percentage in two starts ... Earned a two-save shutout vs. NJIT (10/2) … Stopped four of six shots at eventual Ivy League Champion Penn (10/27).
BEFORE LEHIGH: Two-time Suffolk County Goalkeeper of the Year … All-American nominee in 2008 … Two-time member of the Coaches Association All-Region team … Three-year Eastern New York ODP player … Won three state championships with club team, Massapequa Power.
