Why Lehigh?: “I chose to come to Lehigh because of the strong academics and competitive I-AA football team. For me it was a perfect fit both academically and athletically.”
On Coach Coen: “I would describe Coach Coen as a man that is passionate about the game of football. He has a strong desire to win and instills that same drive in his players. He is a good coach and not only wants to win football games but also wants to see his players excel in the classroom.”
Will compete for a spot in Lehigh’s wide receiving corps … as a sophomore … saw limited time on the Varsity team played special teams against Lafayette (Nov. 19) … as a freshman … did not see any Varsity action.
Personal: Son of Gerry and Russell Welsh. Has three sisters: Courtney (23), Kristy (22), and Amanda (18).
