Why Lehigh?: "I chose to come to Lehigh for the excellent academic tradition and the competitive football program. It is difficult to find a school that has great athletics and academics. Lehigh’s football program also has a real family atmosphere.”
On Coach Coen: “Coach Coen is passionate about winning football games and passionate about developing players into better individuals.”
On the Lehigh football experience: “Aside from being a top I-AA program, I enjoy the Lehigh experience because of the family atmosphere. The team is so closely knit. It's neat to be able to have so many friends who share the same goals as I do.”
Expected to compete for playing time at guard in 2006 after a solid junior season … showed improvement during spring drills… saw limited Varsity action in 2005 … as a sophomore … did not see any varsity action … member of the scout team … as a freshman … did not see any varsity action … member of Delta Upsilon.
Personal: Son of Kathleen and Jon Hewko. Has one sister, Katie(19) … plans to teach and coach after graduation.
