Sal DeWalt is in his second season on the Mountain Hawks coaching staff and will once again work with the tight ends and offensive line.  During the 2009 season DeWalt mentored tight end Alex Wojdowski, who led Lehigh and ranked among the Patriot League leaders with seven receiving touchdowns.  In addition DeWalt assisted with an offensive line that paved the way for a Mountain Hawks offense that averaged over 320 total yards and 124 rush yards per game.  Two of those linemen, Will Rackley and Ricky Clerge, earned All-League recognition, with Rackley also receiving All-America laurels.

DeWalt, a 2006 graduate of nearby Moravian College will assist in coaching Lehigh’s offensive line and also work with the tight ends.  DeWalt arrived at Lehigh from Moravian following a three-year stint at his alma mater as the offensive line coach and video coordinator.  Among his duties with the Greyhounds, DeWalt was responsible for practice planning, play installation, personnel decisions, tape review, instruction, recruiting and oversight of in-season weight lifting.  Two of DeWalt’s linemen earned All-Conference honors in 2008 for an offense that averaged over 200 yards rushing per game.

DeWalt was a two-time captain during his undergrad days at Moravian.  He earned a pair of First-Team All-Conference accolades as an offensive lineman as well as two All-Region selections.  DeWalt graduated from Moravian in 2006 with a degree in sociology.
