Former All-Patriot League safety Ernest Moore ’08 is in his first season on the Lehigh coaching staff.  Moore, who served as a captain for the Mountain Hawks during his senior season, appeared in over 50 games during his career in the Brown and White, and led Lehigh in tackles and interceptions during the 2006 season en route to earning Second Team All-League honors.  A native of Michigan, Moore closed out his career with a 60-tackle season in 2007, which also included three pass breakups and one sack.  For his efforts Moore was named a Second Team All-League honoree for the second consecutive season.  As a sophomore Moore appeared in ten games and made 16 tackles, while during his freshman season he earned his first of four varsity letters.

Moore began his coaching career at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he spent two seasons.  Moore coached the wide receivers in 2008 and the defensive backs in 2009 and among his many duties were recruiting, tracking the academic progress of his position group, breaking down film, opponent scouting, coordinating the offensive and defensive scout teams and assisting with strength and conditioning.  Moore was also selected to serve as the wide receivers coach for the South Team in the 2009 Division III Senior Classic All-Star Game.

Moore graduated from Lehigh in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Imaging.
