In 2005 … appeared in 18 games, starting 16 … took five shots … helped to anchor the Mountain Hawks defense … as a junior … started in all 19 games … tri-captain as a junior … appeared in 19 games, starting 18…was a steady defender after coming back from injury in ’02 … multi-year member of Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and the Dean’s List … did not play in 2002 due to torn ACL and meniscus … at Quakertown was all-league, all-intell, team MVP and team captain …received a High School Heisman nomination as a senior … also a standout in soccer in high school.
Why Lehigh? “Lehigh just seemed to be a perfect balance for me. I knew that academically Lehigh was going to be very challenging, but I also know that receiving a Lehigh degree comes with many rewards. The most important reason for my choosing Lehigh was the team. I knew when I came to visit that this was where I wanted to play field hockey and I have made some amazing friends because of it.”
On Playing Field Hockey at Lehigh: “I watched the team and the game from the sidelines for an entire year and I just can’t wait to get out on the field and play with the girls I love so much.”
On Coach Mazer: “Coach Mazer has completely turned this program around and put it on the right track. She is very intense and asks a lot from us but in the end the hard work is more than worth it. For the class of 06, Coach Mazer was quite an abrupt change in the spring of our freshmen year. The strides this team has made since she arrived are much greater than our record may show. Making it to the tournament this past fall was evidence of the strength of our coaching staff as well as the team. She has done a great job recruiting and the players she has brought in are absolutely amazing and add so much depth to our team."
