WHY LEHIGH? “When being recruited, I looked for a school that stressed academics and rich tradition in addition to a well-respected Division I sports program. Lehigh embodies all of this. I am able to focus on my studies more so than anything else while still balancing being an athlete. I'm completely confident that my experience here will prepare me for success in the rest of my life.”

ON COACH BLUE: “Coach Blue is the type of coach who makes us want to work hard no matter what. She has earned our utmost respect already because the overall mentality of our team has changed ever since she has arrived. Our respect for one another has risen because of Coach Blue's effect on us. I feel she can really help turn around our program.”

ON PLAYING FIELD HOCKEY AT LEHIGH: “Being part of LUFH is an amazing experience. I came into college with 20 sisters who I know are there for me no matter what. As a team, we go through a lot of ups and downs together, but it’s a comfort to know that no matter what, we are a unit.”

AS A SOPHOMORE (2011): One of six Mountain Hawks to start all 19 games as one of Lehigh’s anchors on defense … Owned a team and Patriot League leading eight defensive saves. That total also stood fourth nationally … Named a Second Team All-Patriot League honoree ... Posted two defensive saves during big 1-0 win over Bucknell (10/15) … Made a pair of defensive stops against defending NEC Champion Rider (10/2) … Recorded a defensive stop a day prior at American (10/1) … Dished an assist in win over Siena (9/28) … Posted a defensive save against #17 Maine (9/24), vs. La Salle (9/11) and in the season opener vs. Georgetown (9/2) … Also helped the Mountain Hawks’ defense allow only two goals during Lehigh’s three Patriot League wins – none vs. Bucknell, one against Colgate and Holy Cross.

AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Strong rookie contributor, playing in all 16 games, including 14 starts … Second on the team with two defensive saves, which came at Fairfield (9/8) and vs. Monmouth (9/17).

BEFORE LEHIGH: Started in the back for head coach Danyle Hellig and been a member of a program that won four straight state championships from 2006-2009 … Won the Tournament of Champions three times in those four years … Earned the Unsung Hero Award for Eastern Regional in 2009 after helping lead her team to a 25-2 record and No. 3 national ranking … Plays her club hockey for Jersey Intensity and has won two gold medals at the National Hockey Festival.
