AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Saw action in three games … Made collegiate debut at Monmouth (9/4) while also playing at Bucknell (9/26) and Cornell (10/25).
BEFORE LEHIGH: Four-year varsity letterwinner and starter for Coatesville High School … Captain as a junior in 2013 … That year, was named honorable mention All-Chesmont and earned three team awards: Most Versatile, Most Skilled Player and Best Defensive Player … Also played for X-Calibur Field Hockey Club in Pottstown … Runner-up at the 2014 National Indoor Tournament … Finished fourth at the 2015 National Indoor Tournament as well … A multi-sport athlete, was a three-year varsity letterwinner for the outdoor track and field team, and two-year letterwinner for the indoor team … Received the Bill Renfrew Award (track and field team leadership award) and was part of the 2012 PA State Champion track and field team … Strong off the field, was a member of the National Honor Society … Member of the Spanish Club, member of the French Club, honorary member of the German Club and Concert Master for the School Orchestra (for three years).

GETTING TO KNOW LAYNE
What’s your favorite thing about Lehigh? The campus itself. It is absolutely beautiful. I cannot get over the gorgeous stone architecture.
Major & Why: I want to study International Relations because I love knowing what is going on in the world. The cultures of other nations besides just the United States fascinates me. I also understand with my love of languages, a pursuit in that field would greatly benefit me.
