Why Lehigh? “I chose Lehigh because it offers the ideal combination of academic excellence and high-level field hockey. In high school: Competed at highest level of Dutch youth field hockey throughout her career… played for LMHC laren… first team player at the U14, U16 and U18 levels… frequently one of her team’s top goal scorers… U14 Dutch Indoor National Champion… outdoor national championship playoffs qualifier at U14 and U16 levels… selected for competitive gymnastics team at a young age.
Personal: Daughter of Maarten Koomens and Rita van den Bor… sister Anne.
