Heather Morris begins her first season at Lehigh as assistant coach. A Pottstown, Pa. native and 2017 graduate of Duke, Morris was named first team All-ACC and third team All-America as a senior.
During her senior campaign, Morris finished third on the Blue Devils with 25 points (11 goals, three assists), helping lead Duke to a 16-4 record and a trip to the National Quarterfinals. She played in the NFHCA Division I Senior Game and was named first team All-South region.

For her career, Morris scored 32 career goals, currently ranked 15th in program history. She was a two-year NFHCA All-South Region honoree and garnered multiple ACC Player of the Week awards in her career. Morris was a three-year starter at forward and a field captain as a senior. Strong in the classroom, she was a four-time NFHCA National Academic Squad member and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team twice.

Over Morris’ career, Duke was NCAA finalists in 2013, along with their quarterfinal appearance and ACC Regular Season Championship in 2016. In addition, Morris was selected to represent Team USA at the 2012 Jr. Pan-American Games, winning a Bronze Medal and qualifying for the Jr. World Cup.

Morris has extensive coaching experience as well, being selected as head coach at Duke Field Hockey Arete Camp in 2016 after serving as assistant coach in 2014-15. Morris also coached for Xcalibur Field Hockey Club from 2011-16, selected as coach for the 2016 U19 Xcalibur Festival team and head coach for a U14 club team. Morris has been involved with the USA Field Hockey Futures program as well.

Morris will be working towards a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership while at Lehigh.
