In 2010-11: Finished freshman season with 21-10 record, including team-leading 11 falls… qualified for NCAA Championships after placing fourth at EIWA tournament… earned No. 11 seed at 174 at NCAA Championships… went 0-2 at NCAA Championships after being hampered by injury… placed fourth at the Midlands Championships, winning the award for most falls, as he pinned three men in 10:44… pinned eventual NCAA runner-up Nick Amuchastegui of Stanford at Midlands.... pinned four straight opponents in duals against Virginia Tech, Harvard, Brown and American.
 
In 2009-10: Deferred eligibility… amassed 19-5 record with 13 falls competing unattached in Open Competition… pinned his way to championship of Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic in January… finished second to teammate Alex Caruso at East Stroudsburg Open in November… placed fourth at the UB Open in early November and took fifth at Binghamton Open two weeks later…won wrestling program’s Deferred Wrestler of the Year Award at Lewis Dinner… placed second at 174 at University National Freestyle tournament.
 
In secondary school: Five time place winner in New York … accumulated a career record of 263-8 in high school … won his first state title as an eighth grader at 103 … won the state championship his junior (at 171) and senior (at 189) seasons … undefeated his final two seasons, with a record of 45-0 as a senior with 42 victories by fall, the second most pins in the nation … named Outstanding Wrestler at the New York State tournament twice … the third wrestler to win five Section II titles … placed third and first at the Cadet Freestyle Nationals … ranked in the top 100 nationally and top 10 at his weight class by InterMat.
