Why Lehigh?: “For the academics; the environment, and Coach Santoro.”
On Coach Santoro: “He’s an amazing coach. He never puts you down and always positive.”
In 2014-15: Won nine of 16 bouts as backup at 125… finished fourth at Shorty Hitchcock Classic… set career-highs with two falls and six bonus wins… competed in three open tournaments and entered the Southern Scuffle.
In 2013-14: Competed at 125, going 8-7 in open tournament action… wrestled in four tournaments, finishing second at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic… only fall of season came at Franklin & Marshall Open.
In 2012-13: Posted 9-8 overall record… filled in at 133 in two duals… made varsity dual debut versus Penn on December 1… competed against national finalist Tony Ramos of Iowa in December dual… competed in four open tournaments… won four bouts at East Stroudsburg Open.
In secondary school: Posted 120 career wins … previously attended Minersville and Tri-Valley before finishing at Blue Mountain high school …three-time district place winner …two-time regional place winner… nine-time state champion in freestyle/Greco-Roman.
Personal: Son of Jay and Mary Beth Kievman… brother Connor (14)… enjoys reading, video games and watching childhood cartoons.
