Why Lehigh? “Because I wanted to get a good education at a school with a favorable location and a good wrestling program.”

In 2010-11: Set new career high with 22 victories and qualified for second straight NCAA tournament… went 3-2 at NCAAs and reached the round of 12, finishing one win shy of All-American honors… had a pair of falls and five bonus wins on the season… placed fifth at both the Midlands Championships and EIWA Championships… earned dramatic overtime win over Michigan’s Anthony Biondo as part of Lehigh’s win over the Wolverines.In 2009-10: Won 19 bouts and earned a bid to the NCAA Championships after placing sixth in the EIWA… went 1-2 at NCAAs… beat three wrestlers ranked in the top ten during the regular season… edged All-American Cam Simaz of Cornell in tiebreakers in January dual… placed eighth at the Midlands in late December… won 10 of his 12 bouts in January and February… placed second at 211.5 lbs. at FILA Junior Nationals in April.
In 2008-09: Emerged as starter at 197 as true freshman, posting impressive 20-12 record… earned No. 3 seed at EIWA tournament but was forced to withdraw after one match with a shoulder injury… placed sixth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational… was ranked in the top-20 nationally for part of the season… overtime win over Eric Chine cemented Lehigh’s victory over Kent State at the Virginia Duals.
In secondary school: Won state title as a senior at 189… went 44-1 in his senior season including four wins over the defending state champion… placed fifth in the state as a junior with 40-6 season record… ranked in the top 150 nationally by InterMat… represented Pennsylvania in 2008 Dapper Dan Classic.
Personal: Son of Kevin and Virginia Kennedy… brother Dan (22) and sister Marygrace (18)… enjoys fishing, swimming and spending time with friends.
