In 2010-11: Moved up to 184 where he reached the NCAA finals to earn his first career All-American honor… won EIWA Championship at 184… placed third at the Midlands in late December… finished season with incredible 32-3 mark… was 19-1 in dual meets… opened season with 12 straight victories and rolled off 15 consecutive wins before falling in NCAA finals… defeated Chris Perry of Oklahoma State in NCAA quarterfinals to clinch first All-America nod… defeated then-No. 1 ranked Joe Leblanc of Wyoming in January dual meet… picked up three wins over rival Steve Bosak of Cornell including EIWA finals and NCAA semifinals… received Lehigh wrestling Coaches Award at annual Lewis Dinner… named to NWCA All-Academic Team.
 
In 2009-10: Emerged as starter at 174 and qualified for NCAA Championships with 18-12 record and fourth place EIWA finish… went 0-2 at NCAAs after losing in tiebreakers to the No. 7 seed… won first five bouts including 17-8 major decision win over Penn State’s David Erwin at dual in Stabler Arena… placed eighth at the Midlands Championships… placed sixth at 185 at FILA Junior National Freestyle Championships in April.
 
In 2008-09: Deferred eligibility… boasted impressive 30-6 record competing unattached in open tournaments… placed in the top three in five tournaments… went 5-0 and was named Outstanding Wrestler at the Wilkes Open in late December… added title at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Open in January… placed second at East Stroudsburg Open and third at Mat Town Invitational and Clarion Tournament… went 5-2 at Nittany Lion Open.
 
In secondary school: Four-time Vermont state champion… added New England Championships in final three years… won the Dave Schultz Award for the state of Vermont… boasted career record of 168-3… high honors student.
 
Personal: Son of Arthur and Mary Hamlin… brothers John (26) and Chris (23)… enjoys running, biking and fishing… boasts 3.41 grade point average.
