Zhu Claims Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh senior Yuki Zhu was named Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday afternoon. Zhu opened her spring campaign with a top 10 finish at the Bowling Green Women's Intercollegiate, Feb. 10-11 in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

This is the third career Golfer of the Week award for Zhu, who tied for eighth place in an 84-player field at three over par 216, the third-lowest 54-hole tournament total in program history. Zhu carded rounds of 75, 70 and 71, shooting at or below par in the final two rounds. The second round 70 was a season low for Zhu, who carded a team-leading 11 birdies over 54 holes of play.

Zhu is a three-time All-Patriot League honoree, earing first team laurels in each of her first two seasons.

The Mountain Hawks finished 10th out of 15 teams in Arizona.

Lehigh will be back in action next week when the Mountain Hawks host the El Campeon Collegiate, Feb. 23-24 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
