Utesch Named Interim Men's Cross Country Head Coach

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh University Dean of Athletics Jeremy Gibson has announced that women's cross country head coach Debbie Utesch will serve as interim head coach of the men's team for the upcoming fall 2025 season.
Utesch, who is entering her 29th season at the helm of the women's cross country program, previously coached the men's team from 1996-2008. She returns to her position as men's coach following the departure of longtime head coach Todd Etters.
"Todd has served the Lehigh community for 17 years as a head coach, and was a four-year Lehigh student-athlete," said Gibson. "We are deeply grateful for his long-standing commitment to the development and success of our student-athletes. His leadership and steady presence have left a lasting impact on countless individuals, both on and off the course, including a Patriot League Championship in 2012."
Lehigh cross country is set to host five events at its Goodman Campus Cross Country Course, including this month's Lehigh Invitational, the Lehigh/Lafayette dual, the 51st edition of the Paul Short Run, the Patriot League Championships and the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
