Boston U. Defeats Lehigh After Strong Second Half

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Boston University tallied three second half goals as the Terriers defeated Lehigh 4-1 on Saturday at Ulrich Field.

Lehigh started off hot, as Lela Boermeester gave the Mountain Hawks a 1-0 lead 1:08 into the game.

The Terriers responded just over a minute later with a straight shot off a penalty corner, evening the score at 1-1.
Â
The score remained knotted for the remainder of the first half, with Boston U. holding a 8-6 advantage in shots and 4-3 in penalty corners.

Boston U. started the second half strong, as Molly Driscoll put the Terriers up 2-1 less than five minutes into the second half.

Shortly after, the Terriers extended their lead to two, as Caroline O'Brien put in her first goal of the game.

O'Brien tallied her second goal and Boston U.'s fourth goal early in the fourth quarter, as the Terriers defeated Lehigh 4-1 in Patriot League play.

Kate Burgess made six saves, while Boston U.'s Sophie Ortyl recorded four.
