BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's soccer team battled Cornell to a 0-0 draw on Sunday at the Ulrich Sports Complex.

First-years Taylor Latini and Kat Pluck earned the first starting nods of their collegiate career against the Big Red.

Cornell outshot Lehigh 13-11 and 8-5 in the second half. The Mountain Hawk defense stood tall to keep the Big Red off the board. The visitors also out-cornered Lehigh 3-2 with all three coming in the second half as Lehigh had one in each half.

First-year Esther Brossard led the Mountain Hawks with five shots, three of which were on goal.

Junior goalkeeper Maggie Ousouljoglou made five saves while Cornell's Natalie Medugno recorded six.Â

The clean sheet was the first of the season for the Lehigh defense.

Lehigh (1-3-2) returns home at 6 p.m. on Thursday to host La Salle.
