Mountain Hawks Finish 11th at the Carpetbagger Classic

URBANA, Md. – The Lehigh men's golf squad finished its first tournament of the spring tied for 11th with Wagner at the Carpetbagger Classic at Worthington Manor Golf Club on Sunday. After shooting a collective 295 on the opening day, to carding a 316 on the final day for a team score of 611 for 35 over par.

The University of Rhode Island claimed the top spot by carding a team score of 585 and nine over while Bryant (590) and Navy (594) comprised the top three spots.

Junior Edmund Broderick and senior David Hurly tied for 24th in the tournament with Broderick shooting eight over par 80 on Sunday for an overall score of seven over 151, making three birdies in his round. Hurly carded a six over 78 with an eagle and nine pars for a total score of 151 for the tournament.

Senior Daniel Song finished tied for 31st with 152 strokes in the two-round tournament after shooting five over par 77 on Sunday. Song carded just one birdie and 11 pars while first-year Will Caronchi turned in an 81 that included one birdie and eight pars to finish tied for 51st place at 157 and 13 over par. Lehigh's fifth scoring player was first-year Jake Roth, who shot 82 and ended the tournament tied for 78th place.

Lehigh also has one player competing as an individual, first-year Aiden LeBlanc, who matched Broderick and Hurly by finishing tied for 24th place. LeBlanc carded a three over 75 in
