CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Lehigh junior goalkeeper Maddie Kahn has been named to the 20-player squad that will represent the United States at the FIH Women's Junior World Cup, Apr. 2-13 in Potchefstroom, South Africa, as announced earlier this month. The announcement came a month after she was named to the Under-21 Women's National Team.
Â
The spring 2021 Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year, Kahn was one of 22 players selected to the initial national team and was named to the final squad of 20 following the most recent training camp in Chula Vista, Calif.
Â
The selection is the latest in a stretch of national team involvement for Kahn, who had previously been selected to U-17 and U-19 teams.

Â
In three seasons in goal for the Mountain Hawks, Kahn owns a 1.95 goals against average and a 74.4 save percentage. She was first team All-Patriot League and second team NFHCA All-Region following the 2021 spring campaign. This past fall, Kahn backstopped Lehigh field hockey's strongest season in nearly 30 years and one of the best in program history. The Mountain Hawks secured the program's first winning regular season and overall mark since 1994, while the four Patriot League victories were most since 1996 and most since the league expanded to seven teams with the addition of Boston University.
