BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After being named the 2021 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year on Tuesday, Lehigh field hockey graduate student Lenke Havas picked up another honor on Wednesday, as she was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team for a second straight season and third time in her career. Currently in the Applied Economics master's program, Havas owns a 4.0 grad school grade point average after graduating last spring with a strong 3.76 undergraduate GPA.

Havas has now made Academic All-League three times in the last four years – as a sophomore, senior and now graduate student. First-years are not eligible. Havas is one of just three student-athletes across the Patriot League named first team All-League and Academic All-League this season.

In the classroom, Havas has been named to the Dean's List nearly every semester for semester GPAs of 3.6 or higher, and has posted multiple perfect 4.0 semesters. She has also been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and garnered the Faculty Athletics Council Award for semester GPAs of 3.2 or higher.

On the field, Havas is now a five-time All-Patriot League honoree and four-time first team selection (becoming the first of both in program history). She stands tied for second in the league in goals (11) and points (27); the 11 goals are tied for fifth in program history. Havas been named Patriot League Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week this year. She had a goal and two assists in Lehigh's big 3-2 overtime win over Lafayette, and recorded a hat trick in an early-season win over Longwood (and multiple goals in two other contests). Havas is a defensive midfielder, who anchors the Mountain Hawks' D which is third in the Patriot League in goals against average (1.88). Havas is a two-time All-Region honoree, including first team last spring.

Havas and the Mountain Hawks will play in their first Patriot League Tournament in a decade when they play at No. 17 American on Thursday at 11 a.m. on ESPN+.
