BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A difference maker all over the field, Lehigh graduate student Lenke Havas was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, as announced on Tuesday, while Havas, fifth-year senior Drew Pecora, senior Leah Mullery and junior Sarah Bonthuis also garnered All-League recognition. Now a five-time All-Patriot League honoree and four-time first-team member, Havas follows teammate Maddie Kahn last spring as major award winners, after the Mountain Hawks previously hadn't had one since 2011.

Lehigh's four All-League honorees are its most since 2011, and most since the Patriot League expanded to seven teams with the addition of Boston University in 2013.

Havas became the Mountain Hawks' first-ever four-time All-League honoree last spring and this year, became Lehigh's first five-time honoree and four-time first-team member. A defensive midfielder, Havas has anchored the Mountain Hawks' D, which is third in the Patriot League in goals against average (1.88). She's been named a Patriot League Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week this season. She currently stands second in the Patriot League in goals (11) and points (27). The 11 goals are tied for fifth in program history for a season. Among many highlights, she had a goal and two assists in Lehigh's big 3-2 overtime win over Lafayette. Havas also tallied a hat trick in an early-season win over Longwood, and multiple goals in two other contests. Havas is a two-time All-Region honoree, including first-team laurels last spring.

Pecora was named first team All-Patriot League for second time in three seasons. This season, she's tied for fifth in the Patriot League in points (24) and tied for sixth in goals (9). Very consistent, Pecora has tallied at least one point in 12-of-17 contests. She's scored a goal in each of the last three games, including the first tally in Lehigh's big 3-2 overtime win over Lafayette. Pecora scored what proved to be game-winning goal in a big 2-1 win over Boston University. Pecora owns Lehigh's all-time record for goals in a season with 14 in 2019, and was named second team All-Region in 2019.

Lehigh field hockey's Unsung Hero Award winner in each of her first three seasons, Mullery was named All-Patriot League for the first time in her career – earning a spot on the second team. She stands fourth on the Mountain Hawks in goals (5) and points (12). The point total marks a career high. Mullery's impact is felt all over the field, as a mainstay in the midfield. She scored two goals in Lehigh's impressive 5-0 win at Holy Cross, while also scoring a goal at Villanova, vs. Georgetown and against Sacred Heart. Mullery dished a pair of assists in the regular season finale at Wagner. Defensively, she's played an important role in the Mountain Hawks' defense that stands third in the league in GAA.

Bonthuis has enjoyed a breakout season, tied for first on the team in goals (11) and points (27). She posted at least one point in each of the first six games of the year, and 11-of-17 during the regular season. Bonthuis recorded two goals and five points in Lehigh's 7-2 win at Colgate, earning her Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week. She scored the game's first goal in a 2-1 win over Boston University while having a hand in both Lehigh goals a game prior vs. Georgetown. Bonthuis ended the regular season with three goals over her final three games – one against Rider and two at Wagner.

The Mountain Hawks ended the regular season with an 11-6 record and 4-2 Patriot League mark, in the midst of their best season since 1994. Lehigh finished in a tie for second place in the standings and earned the No. 4 seed, advancing to the program's first Patriot League Tournament since 2011. Lehigh is set to play at No. 17 American in the semifinals on Thursday at 11 a.m. on ESPN+.
