Eight Mountain Hawks Receive EIWA Academic Recognition Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Eight members of the Lehigh wrestling program received EIWA Academic Achievement awards, announced earlier this week. The awards are given to wrestlers who participated in the EIWA Tournament that have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or above, or have a 3.0 GPA and qualified for the NCAA Championships.
Lehigh was one of four EIWA programs to have eight of its 10 EIWA Tournament entrants earn Academic Achievement Awards.
All three of Lehigh's EIWA Champions; freshman Josh Humphreys, junior Jordan Kutler and sophomore Jordan Wood, earned the awards, as did senior Ryan Preisch, who joined Kutler and Wood as All-Americans.
Humphreys owns the top cumulative GPA of the group at 3.67 in business. Freshman Luke Resnick was not far behind with a 3.61 GPA in business.
Lehigh won its second straight EIWA team title and league-leading 36th overall, last month at Binghamton. The Mountain Hawks then went on to tie for 13th at the NCAA Championships.
