BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Strong on the field and in the classroom, Lehigh field hockey junior Amanda Boyer and sophomore Lenke Havas have been named to the Academic All-Patriot League team, as announced by the league on Wednesday. Boyer owns an impressive 3.99 cumulative grade point average in molecular biology while Havas has a 3.63 GPA in the College of Arts and Sciences. This marks the first time since 2011 that the Mountain Hawks have featured multiple Academic All-League honorees.

Boyer is now a two-time Academic All-Patriot League member after being named to the team last season. Owning three perfect 4.0 GPA semesters in her career, Boyer has twice been named an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction for a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher. Also named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, she has been a Dean's List member every semester for a semester GPA over 3.6. Boyer has garnered the Faculty Athletics Council Award as well.

Boyer continued to be key member of the Mountain Hawks' midfield on the field, starting all 18 games with three points (one goal, one assist). Amongst her highlights, she scored Lehigh's first-ever goal at Boston University while dishing an assist one game later at Yale.

A two-time All-Patriot League honoree on the field, Havas has been stellar in the classroom as well, earning a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, garnering the Faculty Athletics Council Award every semester and being named to the Dean's List.

After being named second team All-League last season, Havas was named to the first team in 2018. Havas led Mountain Hawks in goals (6), assists (9) and points (21). The nine assists are a single-season school record. Havas stands fourth in the Patriot League in points (21), tied for seventh in goals and tied for first in assists. She is also third in the league with three defensive saves. Havas is the only player in the Patriot League in the top five in both points and defensive saves. She tallied a point in her final five games of season, with at least one point in 12-of-18 games this season.

This past Sunday capped off a season of continued progress for the Mountain Hawks. Along with Sunday's 3-2 win at Towson, the Mountain Hawks beat Ball State for the first time since 1984, topped Patriot League foe Colgate and took archrival Lafayette to overtime for a second straight year. Lehigh also scored nine more goals than all of last season, netting 24 in 2018.
