Jahn leads Lehigh to strong start at Tignanelli Towson Invitational

PHOENIX, Md. – Powered by an even par 72 from junior Reagan Jahn, the Lehigh women's golf team shot 315 in its first competitive round of the fall as the Mountain Hawks sit third in a nine team field at the Tignanelli Towson Invitational, which opened Sunday at Eagles Nest Country Club.
Jahn's round consisted of two birdies, 14 pars and two bogies as she is one of three players one stroke back of Towson's Alexis Hios. The host Tigers hold the team lead as well after a round of 304. Navy sits in second at 310, while Lehigh has a three shot lead over fourth place Monmouth.
Just four of the 49 players in the field were within two strokes of the par 72. Lehigh's second lowest score was turned in by senior Megan Moylan, who is tied for 11th following a 78. Sophomore Minuette Laessig carded a team-best three birdies on Sunday and is tied for 23rd place following an 81. Junior Aileen Jeong shot 84 and sits in 34th place, while freshman Alexis Browne debuted with a 91 and is 44th.
The Tignanelli Towson Invitational concludes Monday with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Mountain Hawks will be paired with Towson and Navy.
