BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following Friday's dramatic overtime victory over Lafayette, senior Jackie Renda and sophomore Paige Innarella have been recognized by the Patriot League with weekly awards. Renda received the Corvias PL Defensive Player of the Week and Innarella has been named the Goalkeeper of the Week.

Innarella put forth an incredible effort against Lafayette, making 12 saves without allowing a goal to lead Lehigh to its first win over the Leopards since 2005, snapping a 13-game losing streak in the series. The performance marked her third career shutout and second of the season. She made seven saves in the first half alone on Friday to keep the game scoreless despite Lafayette holding a 7-0 edge in shots on goal. Lafayette tallied the first six shots of overtime, including consecutive shots in the 80th minute, but Innarella made the initial save, then leapt and found a way to get a stick on the rebound as well. In the end, Lafayette was shut-out for just the fifth time in its last 46 Patriot League regular season games (dating back to 2009) and just the sixth time in its last 56 PL games overall (including the postseason).

Renda also had a stellar effort all over the field vs. Lafayette. As a defensive midfielder, she played a key role on the defensive end in shutting out the Leopards and also assisted on the game-winning overtime goal, which came at the 85:00 mark.

Lehigh has now won three weekly awards this season, joining Drew Pecora who took home Rookie of the Week honors on Oct. 2.
