2 goal night from Joe Lodato not enough as MountainHawks fall to Towson 5-4
2/16/2014 9:07:00 PM | Men's Ice Hockey (ACHA D1)
The MountainHawks ice hockey program took to the ice for their final home game of the 2013-2014 regular season on Saturday against Towson University.  Lehigh's 22 shots on goal in the 1st period proved beneficial and they held the lead 1-0 after 1 period of play as the result of Evan Goldstein's 5th goal of the season.  Lehigh again came out firing, with 13 more shots, and 3 goals in the 2nd period.  Highlighting the 2nd period scoring was Joseph Lodato, with 2 goals.  Kevin McGee also lit the lamp with an unassisted tally.  The MountainHawks held a lead of 4-3 after 2 periods of play.  Unfortuneately it was not enough as Towson came out in the 3rd and scored the only 2 goals of the period, taking the win 5-4.  The players, coaches, and managers would like to thank each and every person who came  out to support the team this season.  It is more than appreciated and we will see you next season!  Â
