The MountainHawks faced off against the Ice Lions from Penn State Friday night at Steel Ice Center. The first period was a tight defensively played period with no goals from either team. The second period was tightly played which relfected in the score at the end of the period of 2-1 Penn State. The scoring in the 2nd was started by Lehigh's Kevin Melone, scoring at the 11:07 mark off assists from Fritts and Garland. This unfortuneately is where Lehigh's scoring ended. Penn State fired back with two goals off the stick of Chris Lewis at the 11:54 and 17:12 marks of the period. This was the first two of Lewis's 4 goals of the game. Penn State then took over the 3rd period finding the net 7 straight times. The Ice Lions ended up getting the best of the MountainHawks winning 9-1.
