BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh senior guard C.J. McCollum has earned the first Patriot League Player of the Week honor of the season, as announced on Monday. The Canton, Ohio native is coming off a monster 36-piont game at #19/18 Baylor Friday. The honor extends McCollum's already league mark to 13 career Player of the Week awards.

McCollum scored 24 of his 36 points in the first half to keep Lehigh within 51-41 after 20 minutes of play. He finished the evening with 36 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three steals. He shot 14-of-32 from the field (44 percent) including 2-of-5 (40 percent) from three-point range.

The 36 points were the most by any Lehigh player since he had 35 on Dec. 10, 2010 at Marist. It was also within six of his career high of 42 at Kent State (Nov. 26, 2010). He is currently up to 2,110 career points, within 114 of the Patriot League record and 593 of the Lehigh mark.

Lehigh is in action Monday night as it faces Robert Morris at 8:30 p.m. in the NIT Season Tip-Off. The Mountain Hawks will then face either Fordham or Pittsburgh at 6 or 9 p.m.
