BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh field hockey team will travel to Lewisburg Saturday to take on Bucknell at 12 p.m. in its penultimate game of the regular season. The Mountain Hawks will be playing their third straight road game, looking to snap a five-game losing skid and jump right back into the Patriot League Tournament race.

The Mountain Hawks most recently fell at #23 Albany Sunday despite holding the Great Danes to just one goal until 27:79 into the game, when Albany broke the game open with eight goals in the ensuing 32:09. Sophomore goalie Sydney Maltinsky-Wilson made 14 saves, including stopping six of Albany's first seven shots on target to keep Lehigh in the game until late in the first half.

A Lehigh win on Saturday would keep its postseason hopes alive heading into the final week of the regular season.

Maltinsky-Wilson has made 123 saves on the season during her 778:42 of play. Freshman goalie Sophie Fitzpatrick has also enjoyed strong flashes, owning a pair of wins on the season (over Towson and Monmouth).

Senior forward Kim Eng leads the Mountain Hawks with 22 points and also owns team highs in goals (8) and assists (6). Sophomore forward Lindsay Metzger has contributed 15 points via seven goals and an assist to help lead the Mountain Hawks' attack. The pair of forwards has combined to register all three of Lehigh's game-winning goals as Eng has recorded two and Metzger one.

Bucknell enters the final home match of its season with an 8-7 record and 2-1 mark in Patriot League play. The Bison shut out Colgate (7-0) and Holy Cross (4-0) before falling to #14 Lafayette (2-0) last weekend.

Senior Tayler Siegrist leads Bucknell with 21 points and also tops the squad with eight goals. Junior Rachel Misko has contributed 16 points behind six goals and four assists while sophomore Kelsey Mucelli leads the team with nine assists. Junior goalie Erica Perrine has started all 15 games for the Bison and has allowed only 28 goals. She holds a stellar 1.88 GAA and .720 save percentage, both good for second-best in the Patriot League behind Lafayette's Jessica Deutsch.

Lehigh holds a 21-15-1 all-time record against Bucknell after topping the Bison last season at home, 1-0. The first-ever meeting between the two teams resulted in a 4-2 Bison victory in 1976 while the Mountain Hawks are eying their first win at Bucknell since 2006. The teams have split the last six meetings overall.

The Mountain Hawks will return home next Saturday (Oct. 27) to host archrival Lafayette at 11 a.m. It will mark Senior Day as six Lehigh seniors will be recognized prior to their final regular season home game.
