BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh field hockey's Fox Trot 5K for Parkinson's Research is quickly approaching, now less than two weeks away on Sunday, Oct. 28. As of Monday (Oct. 22), the Mountain Hawks have raised $4,300, well surpassing their $2,500 goal. Fans can still make a difference by registering and/or donating. Registration fee is 20 dollars, which includes a Fox Trot 5K t-shirt. All proceeds go towards Parkinson's research.
The 5K was developed in honor of senior Kelsey Zeswitz's mother (Chrissie), who was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's in the summer of 2010. The race will begin at 11 a.m. on Lehigh's Goodman Campus. Please click here for a Lehighsports.com feature story on Zeswitz's involvement with the 5K. The event has already received extensive publicity through numerous media outlets (links below).
