BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh junior heavyweight Zach Rey was named EIWA Co-Wrestler of the Week, it was announced Sunday night. Rey upped his season record to 7-0 with three wins Saturday at the Journeymen/Asics Northeast Duals. Along the way Rey, the top-ranked heavyweight in the nation, defeated No. 2 Dom Bradley of Missouri for the third time in the last two seasons.

Rey opened the Northeast Duals with a 5-1 decision over Virginia's John Danilkowicz in the Mountain Hawks' 36-7 win over the Cavaliers.

No. 11 Lehigh dropped its second match of the day, 21-10 to No. 16 Missouri but after the Mountain Hawks dropped the first seven bouts, Rey completed a string of three Lehigh wins to close the dual with a 3-2 tiebreaker win over Bradley. The wrestlers were tied at on after three periods of wrestling plus a scoreless sudden victory period. Rey rode out Bradley in the first 30 second tiebreaker and then reversed the former junior world champion in the second 30 second period to secure the victory. Rey also defeated Bradley at the 2009 Penn State Open and the 2009 Midlands.

Bradley had a rough go of it on Saturday, losing three times to EIWA opponents. Prior to his loss to Rey, Bradley lost to Rutgers' D.J. Russo and American's Ryan Flores. Russo shared Wrestler of the Week honors with Rey.

In Saturday's final dual, Rey pinned Hunter Manspile of George Mason in just 17 seconds, as Lehigh rolled to a 40-3 win.

Rey won an EIWA championship and earned All-American honors with his third place finish at last year's NCAA Championships. With seven wins this season, Rey now owns a career 63-10 record.

The Mountain Hawks (5-2) will face their first EIWA opponent of the season on Friday night when they travel to Bucknell to face the Bison at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 1230 and 1320 as well as online at Lehighsports.com.
