BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh sophomore guard C.J. McCollum earned his second weekly honor in as many days on Tuesday, garnering the season's first ECAC Player of the Week only a day after being named Patriot League Player of the Week. The Eastern College Athletic Conference names winners for Divisions I, II and III each week throughout the season.
McCollum earned his first-career Patriot League Player of the Week honor on Monday, a year after tying a league record by winning rookie of the week nine times. He was also recognized on ESPN.com's Weekly Watch on Monday as one of only nine players nationally listed among “More Players Who Wowed Us.”

The Mountain Hawks went 2-1 last weekend, led by 89 total points from McCollum, including 42 at Kent State, 27 against Bryant and 20 vs. Cornell. He also recorded his fifth-career double-double (and second in as many home games) against the Big Red.

McCollum's breakout effort came at Kent State when he went off for a career-high 42 points on 15-of-25 shooting, to almost single-handedly lead Lehigh to victory. He also finished the week with 27 rebounds, including a career-high tying 13 against Cornell. McCollum leads the Patriot League and is 15th in the nation in scoring average (22.5), while his 7.3 rebounds per contest are tops on the team and third in the league.

The Mountain Hawks travel to defending America East Champion Stony Brook on Wednesday before returning home to host Atlantic 10 foe Fordham in a Saturday evening showdown at Stabler Arena. Tickets for all home games are now on sale and may be purchased on Lehighsports.com or by calling the ticket office at (610) 7LU-GAME.
