BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh senior forwards Liz Carlos and Natalie Hojnacki have been named to the first-ever Academic All-Patriot League Women's Soccer Team. Both are currently in graduate school following exceptional undergraduate careers.

Eleven players were selected for the first-ever All-Academic Team, while Colgate's Kiki Koroshetz was chosen as the Patriot League Women's Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year. To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.

Lehigh's two honorees tied Bucknell for the second most in the league, behind only American's three.

Carlos' honor comes only a day after being named to CoSIDA's Academic All-District First Team. The team leader with six goals, she was named a First Team All-League performer on Tuesday as well. After graduating with a 3.61 GPA in Accounting and Supply Chain Management, she is currently in her first semester in the master's of Health & Biopharmaceutical Economics program. She's also been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll every year.

Carlos is tied for the team lead with 14 points behind those six goals and two assists. One highlight came against Quinnipiac earlier this season when she recorded her first-career hat trick and was subsequently named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.
Like Carlos, Hojnacki is in her first year of graduate school, but as an Economics major. She posted a 3.60 GPA as an undergraduate Finance major, including a perfect 4.0 GPA in multiple semesters. She's a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and the Dean's List.

Hojnacki has impressed ever since being inserted into the starting lineup on Oct. 3. She has 11 points on the season, all in a three-game stretch against NJIT, Colgate and Bucknell. She was honored with Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week laurels on Oct. 11 and was one of only 14 players nationally included as one of College Soccer 360's Primetime Performers of the Week.

The 9-4-4 Mountain Hawks (4-1-2 in league play) now look ahead to the Patriot League Tournament in West Point, N.Y., beginning with the semifinals on Friday evening. Riding a six-game league unbeaten streak, Lehigh enters as the No. 3 seed and will face No. 2 Bucknell at 7:30 p.m. Earlier in the day, No. 1 seed Army will host No. 4 Colgate at 4 p.m. The Mountain Hawks are playing in their first Patriot League Tournament since 2006 and vying for their first league championship in school history.
