Kosgei finishes in top half at NCAA Championships

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Lehigh senior Evans Kosgei wrapped up a stellar season on Monday by finishing 112th out of 246 runners at the Evans Kosgei LVC 09.jpg" />NCAA Championships, hosted by Indiana State. The Mountain Hawks' first ever men's qualifier in the new selection format, he became Lehigh's first runner to compete at NCAA's since Jen Schappert in 2005.
Kosgei finished the 10,000 meters with a time of 31:17.8, within seconds of cracking the top 100.
Kosgei was selected as an at-large qualifier for the NCAA Championships after finishing 13th at the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Meet with a time of 30:33. While there, he helped lead the Mountain Hawks to a 15th place finish while the women came in ninth.
