Lehigh concludes action at GW Invite

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – Lehigh wrapped up competition at the George Washington Invitational on Saturday and the Mountain Hawks finished 13th out of the 20 schools in attendance.  Lehigh shot a 780 (318, 313, 149), led by Will Robinson, who tied for 29th place overall with a total score of 192 (81, 75, 36).  Maryland won the team crown with a team score of 738 (306, 293, 139) and the Terrapins were followed by George Washington (748), Penn (749), Navy (749) and Bucknell (758).

 

Other Mountain Hawks that competed were Shane Gilroy who shot a 194 (78, 79, 37) and finished tied for 40th place overall, Duncan Zeiders who tied for 45th place after shooting a 195 (80, 78, 37), Chad Lubart who shot a 199 (79, 81, 39) and placed in a tie for 60th and Steve Suarez who shot a 208 (86, 82, 40).  Maryland’s Chris Gold was the top individual finisher with a three-round score of 180 as he shot a 74, 72, and 34.

 

Lehigh will be back in action on April 12 when the Mountain Hawks compete in the Lafayette invitational in Center Valley. Tee time is set for 8:00 AM.
